CA Horse Racing Board is Hiring an ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST Near Sacramento, CA

The California Horse Racing Board is looking for a Associate Governmental Program Analyst to join our team. Do you want to work with a great dynamic team, in a fast-paced department? If so, this may be the position for you!
Under direction of the Regulations and Industry Applications Manager (Staff Services Manager I), the incumbant performs administrative and analytical tasks in the Regulations and Industry Applications Unit.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.

The CHRB is a small to medium sized board with 54 total positions and an annual budget of $20M, funded by two special funds.

Working Conditions

  • The incumbent works in a typical office environment, using one or more personal computers.
  • The incumbent works on the second floor of a two-story building.
  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

The mission of the California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) is to ensure the integrity, viability, and safety of the California horse racing industry by regulating pari-mutuel wagering for the protection of the public, promoting horse racing, breeding, and wagering opportunities, and fostering safe horse racing through the development and enforcement of track safety standards and regulations for the health and welfare of all participants.
